All air passengers five years of age or older must now present documentation of a negative COVID-19 test result (see types of accepted molecular tests) performed less than 72 hours before departure to travel to Canada. Antigen tests are not accepted.
For further details regarding this announcement and to get the latest updates, please visit the Canadian Government website.
You will be required to answer these health-related questions when checking in online or at the airport, whether you’re travelling to Europe, the United States, the Caribbean, Mexico or within Canada:
If you answer YES to any of the questions 1 to 7 at home or at the airport, you will be prohibited from travelling, unless you present a medical certificate* attesting that your symptoms are not related to COVID-19 (applicable only to questions 1 to 5).
In the event that you’re refused travel when checking in at home or at the airport, you will need to contact our Contact Centre to postpone your trip.
Please note that wearing the mask is required upon arrival at the airport, otherwise you will not be able to enter the airport and therefore will not be able to travel. In compliance with Transport Canada recommendations, masks with exhalation valves are not accepted.
Foreign nationals also need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) or a visa containing an eTA to enter Canada. Please inquire.
For travel within Canada, the Canadian government has authorized, for Canadian residents only, the use of expired government-issued identification. However, for it to be accepted, its expiry date cannot be before March 1, 2020, and it must meet all other criteria. Travellers can find details on the Government of Canada’s website.
Make sure to familiarize yourself with these requirements and comply with them.
